Road to Safety Program

Educate, Inform, Raise Awareness, Save Lives!

About Us:

The Road to Safety Program was created in 2010 and is supported by the Fulton County Board of Education.

The program is a video contest challenging students from local Fulton County schools to create and submit up to a 2 minute video which sends a clear message to other students about the distractions and dangers new and inexperienced drivers face.

The program began in school year 2009-2010 with Alpharetta High School and Milton High School in Georgia.  This year the program invites 9 North Fulton High Schools, Alpharetta, Milton, Centennial, Chattahoochee, North View, Johns Creek, Roswell, Cambridge, and Independence to participate.

Local sponsors and community businesses contribute to the prizes for the top 3 winners which also include scholarship money and defensive driving courses.

In 2010 the City of Milton Proclaimed December 29th as the Official Road To Safety Day in Milton, GA. At the 3rd annual Awards Event ( 2011-2012 ) Road To Safety was recognized with Proclamations from both the Fulton County County Board of Commissioners and the Georgia State Senate for our efforts to educate, increase awareness and save lives.
